health & media.
While Jess was studying her BHSc (Public Health), she became obsessed with the relationship between entertainment media and audiences’ beliefs, understanding, and attitudes to all things health. It became her favourite thing to deep dive and talk to everyone about.
This relationship has blossomed into creating and sharing content across Instagram, TikTok, and Substack where she is building an engaged audience.
She is also currently studying a PostGradCertSciComm at the University of Otago to further her skills in this space. She sees enormous potential in utilising entertainment media, including social media, for science communication.

Jess has rediscovered her love of writing as a way to tell stories, and is currently working on a number of writing projects.
